FAMILY HISTORY VIDEOS:
The Ox-Train

The Ox-Train is an example of the short family-history story videos that Backtrackers Genealogy does best. It tells a quick version of the story of Tracie Burns' 3x great-grandparents – Harry and Kittie Jackson – and their travel in 1861 from Jackson County, Iowa to Sacramento County, California, to find a better life in farming and to help establish that area.

The journey with their 9 children took 5 months across 6 states.

In 3 short minutes, it shows the confluence of events that had to occur for Tracie to be born a 5th generation Californian.

Or you might choose to watch the longer video, (soon to come), that includes more of the difficulties the family encountered in crossing that 2,000 miles.

This is the kind of short video that young people will watch and use to learn about their families. Let us find this history and make some of these video stories for your family. It's a great gift for everyone!
